The SVG Sales Internship Experience
A great internship can give you a leg up on your peers and put you on a positive career trajectory. That’s why, this summer, we invited four driven individuals to join our ranks as our first-ever sales interns. By working hands-on with leaders throughout our organization, these interns had the opportunity to learn sales strategies, discover new business ideas, and develop skills to take into their careers.
Here’s what they had to say about their experiences at SVG.
“My summer internship at Spring Venture Group was a very rewarding and challenging experience. This was my first sales internship and I was able to learn several sales techniques from shadowing agents and coaches. Throughout the summer we were able to shadow almost all of the departments, present a sales contest, and work with managers on lessons for stand-up meetings.
My biggest takeaway was realizing how many resources SVG dedicates to its employees, which we got to experience firsthand through several days of training. Overall, I am excited to see where the internship grows from here and proud that we could be the first group of interns at SVG.”
“As a sales intern at SVG, I was able to gain real-world experience within inside sales and other departments. This opportunity proved to be unique, rewarding, and challenging as I was able to work alongside agents and leadership positions while working on numerous projects. These daily activities strengthened my skills within the workplace.
Overall, my expectations were exceeded and I encourage others to apply for this internship program. SVG is a great company and I thoroughly enjoyed my time working there this summer.”
“My experience at SVG was very beneficial for me in terms of development and exposure to the world of inside sales and I learned a lot from the various opportunities presented to us. From shadowing and working with managers and their teams to presenting our final project, there was always something for me to focus on.
My time was definitely unique, fulfilling, and full of education from incredibly talented individuals all over the company. Overall, I am very lucky to have spent a summer at one of the best companies in Kansas City and I encourage anyone who is interested to apply for the position next year.”
“The sales internship at SVG was my first time working in a professional environment, so I was initially unsure of what to expect. The experience exceeded my wildest expectations in many ways: our training was comprehensive, the company culture was fun, our work was engaging, and the team allowed me the freedom to identify and solve problems on my own accord.
We were encouraged to think like management, which I felt put me years ahead of schedule. I’m incredibly thankful to all the managers and agents that were willing to give their time to hear my ideas because they made the experience all the more valuable. I made the right choice in becoming an intern at SVG and I know the program will only improve in year two.”
