Chris Giuliani, CEO
Chris Giuliani serves as the CEO of Spring Venture Group. He joined SVG in 2011 as the Executive Vice President. He served as the executive in charge of launching SelectQuote Auto & Home Insurance Services. In 2014, he was honored by Ingram's Magazine with their "Forty Under 40" distinction.
SelectQuote Auto & Home Insurance Services was launched in partnership between SVG and SelectQuote in 2010. As the business leader, he helped grow the business to one of the nation's largest comparison shopping personal lines auto and home insurance platforms, until the agency's sale in 2012.
Prior to joining SVG, Chris held leadership roles at multiple companies including Capital One Bank, NA and TARP Worldwide. Chris received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and his MBA from Baker University.
Jeffery Anderson, COO
Jeffery Anderson is the COO and a Founder of Spring Venture Group. Since 2009, he co-founded and launched United Medicare Advisors and SelectQuote Auto & Home Insurance Services, holding leadership roles in each of the businesses. In 2013, Jeffery was honored by Ingram's Magazine with their "Forty Under 40" distinction.
He served as President of SelectQuote Auto & Home Insurance Services, growing the business to one of the nation's largest comparison shopping personal lines auto and home insurance platforms, until the agency's sale in 2012. Prior to SVG, Jeffery served in leadership roles in sales and operations at Capital One Bank, N.A., and American Equity Mortgage, Inc. Jeffery’s undergraduate studies were held at Lake Forest College.
Alex Allen, CMO
Alex leads strategic marketing initiatives, web property development, and testing and implementing our web and CRM analytics. Alex began his career managing nonprofit fundraising paid search campaigns, one of which raised more than $1 million for relief in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake.
Since then, he's worked with a variety of clients on paid and organic search, email, display, and social media campaigns. Working with budgets ranging up to $10 million, he's proven a track record of maximizing return on media spend. Prior to Spring Venture Group, Alex worked for advertising agencies in the Washington DC and Kansas City areas. He attended Tufts University for undergraduate and Boston University for graduate studies.
Michael Albenberg, VP, Operations
Michael was one of the original employees of Spring Venture Group. He began his career as a sales agent and later moved into an operational role. He has always had a desire to improve upon process and flow within the sales business.
In his current role, Michael is responsible for ensuring that technology is used to its fullest potential to make sure sales agents efficiently maintain the highest standard of service. Prior to working at Spring Venture Group, Michael worked in sales and management in the mortgage business for 10 years.
Scott Campbell, EVP, Finance
Scott leads all financial planning, accounting, compliance and executive strategy implementation. While at SVG, Scott has created a measurement platform for marketing and sales performance analytics across all divisions.
Prior to SVG, he was responsible for product development and systems implementation at DST Systems. Scott graduated from The University of Kansas and currently attends the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Jerry Hagedorn, VP, Information Technology
Jerry leads Information technology initiatives for Spring Venture Group including; software development, end user support, networking and infrastructure. He began his career as a software developer with several years experience leading project teams before transitioning into IT Leadership roles. He has a proven track record of collaboration across business and IT to deliver solutions.
Prior to Spring Venture Group, Jerry led the software development center of 375+ staff and contractors for a Bureau of the Department of Agriculture. He attended UMKC for undergraduate and Missouri S&T for graduate studies.
Leslie Shea, VP, Human Resources
Leslie is responsible for all human resources initiatives at Spring Venture Group, leading programs to acquire, develop, and retain the best talent and to position the company as an employer of choice. Leslie brings more than 13 years of experience as a strategic HR business partner and leader and is passionate about collaborating with the business to develop progressive people practices and dynamic corporate culture.
Most recently, Leslie managed Talent Operations at HNTB, and prior to that led the U.S. HR Business Partner team and HR operations for the Enterprise Software division of Lexmark International. Leslie attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha for her undergraduate studies and obtained her MBA from the University of Kansas.
Johnny Hilgers, VP, Business Analytics
Johnny leads and continues to grow SVG’s Analytics Team in defining business problems, developing data science prototypes and solutions, and implementing analytical models into production settings. He is an immensely curious data scientist with a background in the analysis of large datasets for understanding complex dynamics and their impact on the business.
Johnny joined SVG immediately upon graduating from the University of Kansas.
Fred Coulson, Chairman
Fred Coulson is the Chairman and a Founder of Spring Venture Group. Fred is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Kansas City-based Five Elms Capital, a venture capital and growth-oriented private equity firm that invests in services and technology businesses.
Prior to founding Spring Venture Group and Five Elms, Fred was a senior investment professional with TH Lee Putnam Ventures, a $1.1billion growth-oriented private equity firm. At TH Lee Putnam, he invested in and actively managed a variety of financial services and technology-enabled services businesses.
Prior to TH Lee Putnam, Fred was as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley in its New York headquarters, where he helped media, internet, and cable companies access the public equity and high yield markets, and later advised large corporates as a generalist in the firm’s mergers & acquisitions department.
Fred holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, where he currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the School of Business and the Finance Department.
