SVG Philanthropy: Bowl For Kids' Sake

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl For Kids’ Sake is now in its 30th year and continues to be the organization’s largest fundraiser, attracting more than 2,000 participants annually. The event rewards teams who fundraise with a night of bowling, pizza, and prizes. Teams of six must raise at least $900 to participate.

To encourage participation in such events, SVG's matching program matches up to $100 per employee each year for charitable donations. So far, SVG teams have raised $2,250. Big Brothers Big Sisters uses funds from this event to bolster their matching program that places at-risk youth with adult mentors.

Gracie Leek, Chairperson of SVG Social, said, “We are always trying to find events that have a direct impact on our community. Bowl for Kids’ Sake absolutely fits that bill and we can’t wait to participate again next year."
