SVG Philanthropy: Ronald McDonald House Charities KC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - As part of a recent philanthropic effort, Spring Venture Group employees participated in a donation drive for Kansas City’s branch of Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Throughout the month of February, employees were encouraged to bring in items from the Ronald McDonald House’s needed items list. The items on this list, used daily at the Charity’s Kansas City locations, range from cleaning supplies to food and toys.

The Charity’s goal of “providing the comforts of home to families dealing with the trauma of a sick child” is what attracted the collection’s organizers, SVG Social. This group is the organizational force behind all philanthropic and social endeavors at Spring Venture Group.

Having a direct impact, no matter how small it may be, was important when considering which charities to work with this year.

Being able to see my co-workers’ generosity pile up right before my eyes was really great. In the end, we collected a few hundred bottles of cleaning supplies and personal care items.

SVG’s next philanthropy will involve the Kansas City Chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters and will occur in the first half of May.
